American born photographer Derek Johnson comes from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Derek's interest in photography was first piqued while attending art school at The University of Oklahoma. Mesmerized by the lush photography in magazines like ELLE, GQ, and VOGUE, he developed a passion for fashion photography.

After getting his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Derek started his career in sunny Los Angeles over 25 years ago, working as a creative director with some of the most talented photographers in the world. He is now based in Dallas, indulging his keen eye for fashion portraiture. Derek's images possess a fresh, cinematic beauty that capture a classic Hollywood perspective.
